P244 - Supervision of Adults (2 credits)
Total lecture 36 hours. This course emphasizes the methods and principles needed to provide individual competence in personnel management skills, effective interpersonal communication and knowledge of how adults learn. It also covers topics to help child development professionals communicate, collaborate with, and evaluate their staff members in an effective manner. This course meets the requirements for the Adult Supervision course required by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing for the Child Development Permits.

P245 - Business Management for Schools with Young Children (3 credits)
Total lecture 54 hours. The course will cover the budgeting process, fees, forms, payroll, purchasing, principles and practices, operations manual and legal requirements.

P246 - Administration of Schools for Young Children (3 credits)
Total lecture 54 hours. The course will cover planning the program and curriculum. Components of day care services, staffing, personnel practices, parent and community involvement, credentials and professional growth.
