Student Education Plans
The Student Education Plans (SEP) are for sample purposes only and do not have to be followed by all Fast Track students. Students who begin Fast Track during the Fall Semester of their Sophomore year will complete all nine tracks. If the student begins Fast Track later than the Fall Semester of their Sophomore year, they will complete one track per semester/summer term up to and including the summer following high school graduation. Students may choose one of the following Student Education Plans or they may create their own with a counselor. Placement in English and Math courses is dependent upon the student's assessment test results and high school transcripts.
Students under age 21, who are interested in obtaining an AA/AS degree offered at Porterville College are required to complete 2 units in physical education and one course that meets the multi-cultural studies requirement. Course that meet the Multicultural Studies requirement are indicated with double asterisks (**). Students who wish to transfer to a UC campus must complete two years of a foreign language in high school or one semester in college. The courses outlined in the following Student Education Plans are recommended courses only. Students who are interested in specific majors should meet with a college counselor and/or refer to the ASSIST website to help choose courses for specific majors at the campus the student plans to attend.
