Porterville College Associate's Degree in Mathematics

The Program

Did you know that the core requirements for most bachelor's degree programs in mathematics, physics, and engineering are offered at Porterville College? In addition, those same classes satisfy the requirements for the Associate's Degree in Mathematics at PC. Students can complete this degree in two years and be well prepared to transfer to a four-year college or university offering upper division majors in math, physics or engineering.

The Degree

To satisfy the requirements for the Associate's degree, students must take the following math courses:

MATH P103 Calculus I
MATH P104 Calculus II
MATH P205 Calculus III
MATH P206 Differential Equations

And one course taken from among the following:

MATH P122 Introductory Statistics
PHYS  P102A General College Physics
PHYS  P102B General College Physics
PHYS  P104A Physics for Scientists and Engineers
PHYS  P104B Physics for Scientists and Engineers
