Anatomy P110 explores the essential features of human anatomy including the gross and microscopic anatomy of all the body systems  Laboratory consists of the study of actual bones, 3-D models, charts, and microscope slides of human tissues.  Laboratory skills are practiced in the dissection of a preserved cat.  A remembrance of past biology (especially the cell) or a previous high school anatomy class makes the class much easier. 
Anatomy and Physiology P052 is a nontransferable class that designed to fulfill the requirements of students preparing to enroll in the Vocational Nurse or Psychiatric Technician programs.  This course covers the basic anatomy and physiology of the human body.  Laboratory includes the use of actual bones, 3-D models, charts, and microscope slides human tissues.
Microbiology P106 investigates the morphology, physiology, classification, and importance of bacteria, viruses, and other microorganisms.  Immunology and disease epidemiology are also explored.  Laboratory expectations set by the American Society for Microbiology are practiced.  This is a voluminous course with much memorization about cellular anatomy and processes.  Students are expected to remember past biology and some chemistry which is why Chemistry P106 (Introduction to Chemical Principles) and Chemistry P108 (Basic Principles of Organic Chemistry) are recommended prerequisites.
