Prerequisite courses listed:
Be eligible for English P101A or take English P101A  [Inside scoop - take English P101A]
Complete Math 51 (intermediate algebra) 
Complete Anatomy P110 (equivalent to Biology B14)
Complete Physiology P106 (equivalent to Biology B15)

* Porterville College's medical terminology (PTVN P009) not acceptable for Bakersfield College's Radiology Program's medical terminology course.

General education courses are required to graduate from the BC associate in science degree radiologic Technology Program.  It is suggested that these courses be taken before entrance into the program. 
1. English P050 (English P101A is recommended)
2. Communication: Speech P101 or P102
3. Social Science: History P117 or other
4. Behavioral Science: Psychology P101A
5. Humanities: Philosophy P112 or other
6. Computer Science: INFS P100 Intro to Information Systems (equivalent to Bakersfield's COMS B2) or
     COMS B5 (Introduction to Microcomputer Applications) or equivalent
     is necessary to meet program completion requirements.
7. Health Education: Students that successfully complete the Radiologic Technology
    Program are exempt from the BC's Health Education requirement.

 

 

Fresno City's Application Requirements:
Minimum prerequisite requirements for application to the Radiologic Technology Program follow:
Have completed and submitted an Academic Summary Form for the Radiologic Technology Program.
Have graduated from high school or have an average score of 45 on the General Educational Development (GED) test.
Have completed Biology 24, Anatomy and Physiology (or equivalent), with a grade of "C" or better.  biology 20, Human anatomy, AND Biology 22 Human Physiology may replace Biology 24 with a grade of "C" or better in each course.
Have completed Applied Technology 11, Basic Electricity (or equivalent  - accepting PC's Physical Science P112), with a grade of "C" or better.
Have attained a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of "C+" ((2.5) in completed college work."
Have no physical impairment that would preclude the performance of all radiologic technology duties.
Be in good physical and mental health.

5. Physical Education
6. Political Science P101 - Political Science
7. An approved general education humanities elective

West Hills College, Lemoore Application Requirements

WHC, Lemoore is a satellite college site for Fresno City College's radiologic technician program, so the above expectations apply.
