ASTRONOMY 101 LAB

Do not turn this assignment in to your instructor.  The information that you gather in today’s lab will be part of the test on the solar system.

(1)    On the internet, go to www.howstuffworks.com. 

(2)    In the “Explanations” column on the left-hand side, click on the Science link. 

(3)    Scroll down, and click on SPACE.

(4)    Click on SPACE EXPLORATION.

(5)    Click on and read one of the articles listed (for example, “How Mars Odyssey Works”).

One essay question (worth approximately 10% of the test grade) on the test covering the solar system will be the following:

“Summarize (in one or two paragraphs) the article that you read in the How Stuff Works lab.”
