This page exists as the repository for evidence for Porterville College's 2006 Accreditation visit by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC).  Visiting team members can find accreditation evidence documents in hard copy form in the room provided for them in the Student Center and also here on this site.  This page will provide either the document itself for each piece of evidence mentioned in our self study or a link to where the document can be found.  We do recognize however, that the visiting team may ask for additional documents.  These will be provided upon request. If you have questions or need additional information, please contact our Accreditation Liaison Officer, Vice President Steve Schultz at (559) 791-2218 or sschultz@portervillecollege.edu.

Course outlines:  Porterville College has 350-400 course outlines; too many to place here.  However, these documents will be available to the visiting accreditation team upon their visit.  They are stored on the "K" drive on our network, so the team can access them from any networked campus computer.  Any questions about the course outlines should be directed to Curriculum Specialist Olene Burkhart or Curriculum Committee Chair Sara French-Unser.

Accreditation info for vocational programs:  The corrections area certification comes in email form each year.  Here is a copy of the certification letter for the core course for 2005-06.  Certifications for each of the peace officer training courses can be found in this document.  Here also are the accreditation certificates for the vocational nursing program and the psychiatric technician program.

KCCD Audit reports:  Here we post the 2003, 2004, and 2005 audit reports.  Note that these files are very large and may take a moment to come up. 

District Reserves:  This document provides the Kern Community College District's annual reserve percentages for the past three years.

Porterville College Foundation Audit:  The two most recent Porterville College Foundation audits are available in hard copy in the accreditation meeting room.  These audits were performed by an outside agency and are not available in machine-readable format.

College Contracts:  Examples of contracts by the college are listed in the self-study.  One such contract is listed here between the college and the Porterville Developmental Center.

Porterville College Title V Hispanic Serving Institutions Grant:  An abstract of the grant proposal can be found here.  Note that the Project Director has since changed to Michael Carley (mcarley@portervillecollege.edu).  Some changes have been made to grant activities as well, as is typical of grants of this size.

Porterville College Cooperative Title V Hispanic Serving Institutions Grant:  This is our second Title V grant, this one being a cooperative one with the College of Sequoias in nearby Visalia.  A brief abstract of the grant is available here.  We also have a website for the LISTO program, one of the grant's major activities.  That site is at http://www.pc.cc.ca.us/listo/.

KCCD Budget Allocation :  The 2005-06 budget allocation can be found in this document.  Note that this is an Excel file with several tabs at the bottom.  A description of our budget allocation formula is available in the accreditation meeting room.  This document is 53 pages and is no longer available in machine-readable format, so we cannot post it here.  A district-wide task force is currently working on a new formula which will be utilized starting in the 2007-08 academic year.
