A certificate program in Information Systems is also available for students who wish to obtain vocational skills in computer technology without completing the associate degree requirements.
According to the employment projections of U.S. Department of Labor for 2002-2012, seven of ten fastest growing occupations and six of ten occupations with the largest job growth (requiring a BA degree) are in the computer and information technology field. Careers in data communications and networking, computer software engineering, database administration, computer systems analysis and design, and computer information systems management not only are in great demand but also represent the highest quartile income level among all career choices.
