
What is Cooperative Work Experience Education?
Cooperative Work Experience IS transferable, depending upon approval of receiving institution.
Because enrollment is an ongoing process, Orientation Sessions must be scheduled by student as early as possible. Please contact instructor for additional information.
Cooperative Work Experience Education helps students to:
» Achieve new knowledge directly related to business, industry, and government that can be used in future work.
» Improve job performance and allow an organized process for validation and documentation of job performance that can lead to promotion or a better job.
» Make a connection between school and work by practicing what students learn at school and by employing what they learned in seminars to help employers meet future needs.
» Increase Communication between employer and employee
» Balance their class load with a combination of curricular studies and Cooperative Work Experience Education.
» Have access to information to assist in marketing their skills to obtain, keep or advance on the job by attending seminars.
» Become more interested in their work, more motivated on their job, find more variety and challenge within their job, and be more committed to improvement of their job.
