Dr. Arlitha Williams-Harmon

Dr. Arlitha Williams-Harmon, has worked for Porterville College as the Vice President of Finance & Administrative Services for the past 9 years and is the current Interim Chief Financial Officer for Kern Community College. She is responsible for college’s fiscal management and business operations. Additionally, she assisted with the planning and implementation of innovation student success policies.

Prior to joining Porterville College, Arlitha was a Business Manager of a school district in Northern Mississippi responsible for the accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, human resource, and cafeteria operations. Additionally, she oversaw the development and monitoring of departmental budgets in the City of Los Angeles’ Office of the Treasurer and Mayor’s Office. Also, Arlitha worked for the RAND Corporation in Santa Monica and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, Los Angeles Branch performing financial planning and accounting duties.

Arlitha earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Southern California, a Master’s of Arts in Public Administration from California State University at Long Beach, and a Doctorate in Community College Leadership from Mississippi State University.
