"In the next few years, I would like to complete my Bachelor's Degree and begin my career in teaching. I was drawn to teaching because I want to make a difference in students' lives. In the fall of 2021, I will be transferring to California State University, Bakersfield to complete my degree. In EDUC P110, I learned teaching strategies, classroom management, how to accommodate English Language Learners, and much more. I found this information useful and cannot wait to use it in the classroom. Dr. Pengilly did a wonderful job preparing me and providing me with resources that will assist me in my future teaching. The Education Careers workshops helped me by providing me with information that I can use in the future that I may not have gotten if I had not attended.”

The Education Careers Program at Porterville College is giving me the opportunity to give back to my community by supporting me through my education career path."
