Welcome to the Porterville College Pirate Pantry.
The Pirate Pantry was designed to provide supplemental food for students to assist in fighting food insecurities, supported by annual food drives, a partnership with the Central California Community Food Bank, and donations from campus staff, faculty, and administrators.
Over the years the Pirate Pantry has evolved with the support of the Hunger Free Campus Initiative and the Fresh Success program to offer an array of perishable and non-perishable items for students. The Pirate Pantry hosted its grand reopening Spring of 2022, in its new location FIT-722. The location mimics a small grocery store atmosphere where students are able to select the items of their choice with their shopping basket and have them bagged upon departure. Shopping in the Pirate Pantry is welcomed on a weekly routine for enrolled students with a current Pirate Student ID Card.

Tuesday – 3:30 pm – 5:30 pm
Wednesday – 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm
Thursday – 9:00 am – 11:00 am
Friday – 9:30 am – 11:30 am

The Neighborhood Market holds events at the stadium parking lot (across the street from Porterville College's campus) that need 6 - 8 volunteers.
