Attention Registered Nursing Applicants

Porterville College Associate Degree Nursing Program uses the Multi-Criteria Selection and Ranking process for student selection (AB 548). Admission will be offered to the highest ranking applicants whose documentation supports information provided in the application. The following criteria will be included in the multi-criteria screening process:

  1. Academic degree or diplomas, or relevant certificates, held by an applicant
  2. Grade-point average in relevant course work
  3. Number of repetitions of prerequisite classes
  4. Any relevant work or volunteer experience
  5. Life experiences or special circumstances of an applicant
  6. Proficiency or advanced level coursework in languages other than English

Transcript Evaluation Deadline

For courses taken from any college other than Porterville College, student must submit official transcripts and Request for Transcript Evaluation form to Admission and Records office.  

Oct.15th - For 1st and 3rd Semester program courses to start in fall.

June 15th - For 2nd and 4th Semester program courses to start in spring.

Psychiatric Technician Application Period January 1 - 31, 2020

The Health Careers Department will be accepting applications in January 2020 for the August 2020 PT cohort. Applications can be handed in at the Health Careers Office in HC 2041. If submiited by mail, application must be postmarked by the deadline. For more information, see Future Students
