Porterville College in conjunction with Employment Connection will hold a Job Fair on Tuesday, May 6, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Porterville College Gymnasium, 100 East College Avenue in Porterville.
More than 56 hiring vendors have signed up to attend the event. The vendor list includes: AmeriCorps, AMVETS, California Dairies Inc., Carl Jr's, Cary's Honey Farms, Champion Homes, Choices After School Program, City of Porterville, Courtesy Staffing, CSET, Department of Corrections, Dollar Tree, Eagle Mountain Casino, EDD, Factory 2-U, Family HealthCare Network, Finance and Thrift, Foster Farms, Highway Patrol, Home Depot, InShape, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, KTIP, Lowe's, Mama's U Bake, Marshalls, Martin Brothers Trucking, National Guard, National Diversified Sales, Paramount Citrus, Payless Shoe Source, People Care, Pizza Factory, Porterville College, Porterville Developmental Center, Porterville Sheltered Workshop, Proteus, Railex, San Joaquin Valley Veterans, Setton Farms, Sierra View District Hospital, Taco Bell, TCOE Early Childhood Education, T-Mobile, Tulare County HHSA, Tulare County Human Resources, Tule River Gaming Commission, Tule River Tribal Council, Turners Insurance, U.S. Army, U.S. Marines, US Navy, USA Staffing, Volt, Wal-Mart Stores and Wendy's.
The event is free and open to the general public. Military veterans will have priority entrance from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Attendees are encouraged to bring multiple copies of their resume and come dressed for a job interview. The event is sponsored by Employment Connection, Porterville College, the PC Student Veterans Organization, PC EOPS/CalWORKs and the JEC Center.
