Porterville College is now offering online registration for PC Community Education courses, anytime, from the convenience of their home or on the go. Prior to offering online registration, Community Education students had to visit campus during office hours to register.
“Porterville College is always looking for opportunities to support the community,” said Dean of Instruction, Sam Aunaí. “To help ease the registration process, individuals can now register and pay online.”
Community Education courses are designed to meet the needs of the community. These are non-credit classes offered in addition to the college's academic program. These courses are designed to provide learning and enjoyment in a friendly, worry-free environment. These courses include vocational skills, professional development or exposure to new recreational enjoyments.
To register for classes, go to www.porterville.asapconnected.com or visit the PC website at www.portervillecollege.edu/community-education/community-education. More Community Education classes will be offered starting in August and September.
Porterville College strives to create and offer a variety of exciting courses that are of interest to the community we serve. Community Education Courses are not funded by taxpayers’ dollars. All registration fees and costs associated with the courses vary from course to course.
“Additionally, we are always looking for individuals who have ideas about community ed classes and are willing to teach them,” said Aunai.
If you are interested in developing and teaching a Community Education Course, please complete and return the Class Proposal Form, which can be found online at www.portervillecollege.edu/community-education/community-education or a link can be found under the “Community” tab at www.portervillecollege.edu.
