Registration still open for holiday cooking classes

Holiday Cooking Class

Overcome the stress of preparing holiday meals by taking a three-hour class at Porterville College. Let PC Chef Pierce Thomas teach you how to prepare a stress-free meal that everyone is sure to love; from delicious, hot soups to delectable desserts and appetizers. Porterville College is holding two separate holiday cooking sessions from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, Dec. 11 and Friday, Dec. 18 in the Student Center Cafeteria.

Session #1 - Friday, December 11 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm --- Preparing pumpkin soup, roasted pork loin, potato cakes, and pineapple mousse

Session #2 - Friday, December 18 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm --- Preparing baked apples, apple strudel, and crème brulee

Cost is $35 per session. This class is open to the public. Prior registration is required. To register go to www. porterville.asapconnected.com or visit the PC website at www.portervillecollege.edu and click on the “Community” tab.

Community Education courses are designed to meet the needs of the community. These are non-credit classes offered in addition to the college's academic program. These courses are designed to provide learning and enjoyment in a friendly, worry-free environment. These courses include vocational skills, professional development or exposure to new recreational enjoyments.
