The ADN program is designed to prepare entry-level registered nurses as providers and managers of care across the health/illness continuum. Students are taught by an experienced RN faculty all of whom are licensed professionals with practical knowledge and skills in their field of expertise. Classes and skills training are held on the college campus while clinical training is conducted at local hospitals and other approved facilities. The ADN program is a four-semester (two-year) program after the prerequisite courses have been completed. In addition, students must complete all the Porterville College general education requirements for graduation.
The program is the result of dedication from not only Porterville College faculty and staff but community partnerships as well. PC would like to extend special thanks to the Kern Community College District, the Porterville College Child Development Center, Delano Regional Medical Center, Sierra View Medical Center, Burton School District, Valley Adult Day Services, Lindsay Gardens, Lillian B.
