FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PORTERVILLE, Calif. – (April 24, 2018) – Porterville College will host its sixth annual Job Fair on Wednesday, May 2, in the college’s gymnasium.
The annual event puts job seekers and hiring employers from Porterville and other nearby cities under one roof. This year’s job fair will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The 9-9:30 a.m. time slot is reserved for military veterans and their families.
“This has always been a great event because it enables job seekers to speak directly with employers and learn more about them and what they are looking for,” said Maria Roman, chair of PC’s Student Services division and one of the event’s coordinators. “Many people will find their future employer at this job fair; it happens every year.”
Last year’s event drew 62 employers and nearly 700 job seekers. Job seekers are encouraged to dress appropriately for an interview and bring three copies of their resume.
The event is free and open to the public and no parking permit is required.
