Russian Vocal Quartet Returns to Porterville

May 1 concert is free and open to the public

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PORTERVILLE, Calif. – (April 25, 2018) – Porterville College’s music department and Trinity Lutheran Church will jointly sponsor a return music performance by the St. Petersburg Men’s Ensemble on May 1. The concert is free and open to the public and will take place at 7 p.m. at the church, which is located at 764 W. Henderson Ave.

The ensemble hails from St. Petersburg, Russia, and has performed numerous times over the past several years in Porterville.

“These highly skilled singers will present a program of Orthodox Russian sacred music and Russian folksongs. They always leave a delighted audience,” said David Hensley, who as professor of music (emeritus) and Trinity’s choir director is the host for the event. “This concert is one of many they will present while on their 2018 spring tour of the West Coast.”

An offering will be collected to defray the singers’ travel expenses, and there is ample lighted parking in the church’s lot. Those with questions can call the PC Music office at 791-2255 or the church at 784-4202.
