Public invited to accreditation visit events at Porterville College

Events will take place Oct. 1-4


PORTERVILLE – (Sept. 24, 2018) – A 13-member accreditation team will be on the Porterville College campus Oct. 1-4 to conduct an accreditation review of PC. California community colleges undergo an accreditation review generally every six years. PC is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC).

As part of the accreditation visit, the public is invited to a series of events and open forums:

  • Accreditation team meet and greet: 12:30-1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, in the Student Center Conference Room.
  • Open forum: 4-5 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2, in the theater.
  • Open forum: 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 3, in the theater.
  • Accreditation team exit report: 10:30-11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, in the theater.

The last accreditation visit at PC took place Oct. 22-25, 2012. After that visit, the ACCJC took action to reaffirm PC’s accreditation status.
