CalWORKs

The CalWORKs Program provides services to students who receive TANF (Temporary Aid for Needy Families, formally known as AFDC) and who have been referred by their TulareWORKs caseworker and monitors academic progress. Other services include CalWorks work study (on- and off-campus), job placement, job search skills, resume writing, interviewing techniques, academic advising, books, funding for child care, mileage reimbursement, and job readiness workshops.

Eligibility:

  1. Referred by TulareWORKs caseworker. Must be receiving TANF cash aid and have a Welfare-To-Work Plan
  2. Student completes college matriculation process i.e. application, placement and orientation.
  3. Meets with counselor and enrolled in classes
  4. Completes PC CalWORKs paperwork i.e. application, release of information, Ed Plan and Activity Plan
  5. Student provides the Agency Certification "gold form" to the PC CalWORKs Office

  • After you save and complete the form, email it as an attachment to the email address shown on the form. Please include a copy of your Summer 2020 or Fall 2020 Schedule/Bill.
  • Additionally, if you're having trouble with the PDF technology, you can print the form, complete it with a pen, then scan it with your phone or computer, and email it to our office.

    Troubleshooting Your PDF: Is the Information Going Blank When You Send It?

    If you are using a Mac's PDF program (called Preview), or if you are sending the form and finding that the information you entered goes blank, please follow these steps after you've filled out the form:

    • Choose Print from the File menu.
    • Inside the Print window, use the dialog box’s PDF option to save it to a PDF (instead of sending it to a printer).
    • Email the saved PDF as an attachment to the email address shown on the form.
