Porterville College Library provides information resources in a variety of formats and functions: print books and periodicals, reserves, reference, fiction, poetry, non-fiction, media, and more.
Computers provide students with access to online databases, full-text electronic books, and the Internet. Wi-Fi is also available for students. Students can do their homework in the study rooms, carrels, and the comfortable, quiet reading area. Card-activated printers and cash-activated copiers are also available for student use.
Key library services include checking out circulating books and reserve items as well as reference librarian assistance.

Ever wished there was a way to get free textbooks and technology for your courses? Now there is! The Lending Library is a resource provided through the Porterville College Library, in collaboration with Equity, where students can check out texts and technology for the entire semester... for FREE!
The Lending Library currently has hundreds of available textbooks* for a wide range of courses and programs, including: Accounting, Administrative Justice, Agriculture, American Sign Language, Anthropology, Art, Business, Child Development, Communication, Health, History, Music, PSYCH Tech/EMT, Industry Certifications, Nursing, Political Science, and Psychology! Additionally, laptops, Wi-Fi hot spots, calculators, and iClickers are also available for students.
