For more than 90 years, Porterville College has provided post-secondary educational opportunities to students in the Porterville community. As part of the Kern Community College District (KCCD), which also includes Bakersfield College in Bakersfield and Cerro Coso Community College in Ridgecrest, Porterville College awards two-year degrees (AA, AS), transfer degrees (AA-T, AS-T), certificates of achievement, and job skills certificates.

The President of Porterville College reports to the District Chancellor, as well as works collaboratively with the two other colleges to promote and enhance the educational opportunities for all students within the KCCD geographical area.

Porterville College is the northernmost college in the district and is located in Porterville, California, at the base of the High Sierra Mountain Range in southeastern Tulare County.  Porterville College’s campus comprises more than 18 buildings, structures, and facilities on almost 60 acres and boasts facilities for academics, fine arts, athletics and community interactions. A major study regarding facility improvements was recently completed to determine the best way to address current and future campus needs.

The next President of Porterville College will be a leader who can build on the traditions and stability of the past with the innovation and forward-thinking strategies necessary for a successful future.
