President's Message

President Bill Henry

On behalf of the faculty, staff, and administrators, it gives me great pleasure to welcome you to Porterville College. With students as our focus, Porterville College provides our local and diverse communities an excellent educational experience that fosters intellectual curiosity and growth that prepares our students for personal and academic success. Established in 1927, Porterville College has a rich 90-year history providing local students, families, and Tulare County with high quality, affordable higher education, and job training.

Porterville College is proud of its highly qualified faculty, staff, and administrators whose passion and dedication is to focus on providing you with a positive learning experience. Whether you are starting a new career, improving academic skills, or preparing to transfer to a four-year university, all of the information you need to know about attending Porterville College is contained within our catalog.

Working with local businesses and community partners, Porterville College strives to provide up-to-date and applicable educational and training programs. As the cost of attending four-year universities continues to rise, the local community relies more and more on Porterville College for affordable education and job training.

As a comprehensive community college, we provide general, transfer and career education at the undergraduate level; training and services for updating skills in the existing workforce; and basic skills courses intended to better prepare students for a college level education.  Porterville College also offers various athletic programs and clubs, providing students with a well-rounded college experience.  Our academic and vocational curriculum is developed and continuously updated to ensure that the college is meeting the needs of the students and the community.

For many, Porterville College has made a difference - let us make a difference for you.  Porterville College is a great place to both begin and accomplish your goals.

Best wishes,
