Centennial Celebration

1927 – 2027

One Hundred Years of Pirates

For a century, Porterville College has been a place where stories begin, futures take shape, and this community comes together. As we celebrate our centennial, we're gathering the milestones, memories, and voices that made PC what it is today.

The Project

About the Project

The PC Centennial Celebration marks 100 years since Porterville College first opened its doors in 1927 — from a couple of borrowed rooms on the Porterville High School campus to the college PC is today. Throughout the centennial year, we're collecting historical milestones, alumni memories, and recorded interviews with the people who helped build PC, all in one place.

Alumni Stories

PC Stories: Oral History Project

As part of PC's Centennial Celebration, we want to feature the stories of our alumni. Every PC Pirate has a story, and the Porterville College Alumni Association wants to hear yours. However, with so many alumni, it would take many years to meet with each of you individually. That's why we've decided to embark on a new project called PC Stories – Oral History Project to collect stories from alumni like you. These stories will be preserved to celebrate the impact PC has had on your lives and who you are today. Every time we don’t capture or preserve stories, it feels like another opportunity lost. We’re excited to get started!
