PC Connection: Clearing the Path for Our Future Pirates

Start Small, Go BIG!

Local students took a BIG step forward in the transition from high school to college this week as Porterville College opened its doors for over 500 local students during the annual PC Connection registration event. On Wednesday and Thursday afternoons, the Student Services Department hosted hundreds of local high school seniors and their parents, providing a direct bridge between graduation and the start of their college careers.

Students and community members representing over 11 local high schools gathered on campus to navigate the enrollment process for both the Summer and Fall terms. PC Connection offers these incoming students a vital head start through priority registration. By completing their enrollment now, these students ensure they have the classes they need while receiving immediate, on-site guidance from our dedicated advising and counseling teams.

The two-day event was designed to be as seamless and supportive as possible. Beyond the technical aspects of registration, attendees were provided with comprehensive information regarding the various programs and support services that make Porterville College unique. To ensure everyone stayed fueled during the busy sessions, food was provided for participants, allowing families to focus on the important task of academic planning.

This annual tradition highlights the commitment of our Student Services office to provide on-demand assistance and personalized counseling to the next generation of scholars. We are proud to welcome these students from our surrounding communities and look forward to seeing them thrive in our classrooms this coming year!
