Slime, Smiles, and Stress Relief: Student Life Hosts Sensory Break
The end-of-semester heat is officially on, but Porterville College students found a colorful way to keep their cool this week. On Tuesday, April 28, the Office of Student Life hosted a vibrant "slime fest" in the Quad as students gathered to take a much-needed sensory break from the academic grind.
With finals just around the corner, the Slime Making event provided the perfect tactile distraction. Students were able to mix, stretch, and customize their own creations using a variety of Neon Colors, Tactile Textures, and Aromas and other Add-ins to create personalized touches to make each batch unique.
It’s hard to worry about a chemistry final when you’re elbow-deep in pink goo. Sometimes, mindless, creative fun can be just the thing you need before you dive into a week of big exams.
Supplies went fast, proving that you’re never too old to enjoy a little between classes fun! A huge thank you to Student Life for organizing this hands-on stress reliever.
Missed out on this event, or have ideas for the next one? You can reach out to Jacob Sandoval at jacob.sandoval@portervillecollege.edu and let him know your BIG ideas.
Good luck during these last weeks of the semester - and on your finals, Pirates. Stay focused and stay slimy!
