Primavera Monarrez

Primavera Monarrez became the Interim President of Porterville College in July 2024. Prior to that position, she served as the Vice President of Student Services beginning in April 2018. She holds a Master's degree in Counseling with a concentration in Student Affairs.

Before coming to Porterville College in 2018, she served as the Dean of Student Success at Taft College for two years and as Interim Vice President of Student Services. She has worked in higher education for 15 years addressing student success and equity in higher education, and she has a strong commitment to ethical leadership.

Primavera grew up in the Central Valley and is devoted to advocating for students, paving the way for opportunities, and mentoring those who believe education is not possible.
