Exemption Request Form

At Porterville College, we have a few local policies that can impact special admit / high school students taking college courses with us. These policies are listed below:

• Unit Max Policy: Special Admit Students are not allowed to take more than 11 units in the fall or spring terms and 7 units in the summer term.
• Failed Class Policy: If a Special Admit Student earns a D or an F in a college course at Porterville College, they need to retake this class and earn a passing grade before they can take another college course at Porterville College. 

If you want an exemption to one, or both, of these policies, you can request one by completing our digital Exemption Request Form. This form requires student and high school counselor or administrator approval. Additionally, know that this request will be reviewed internally by our Executive Team here at Porterville College.
