Don't Get Scammed! Watch Out for Phishing Emails
Scam emails claiming to be from BankMobile or Financial Aid are circulating and may
warn of delayed or missing disbursements. This type of scam is known as phishing.
These messages are not legitimate and are not sent by Porterville College.
If there is any uncertainty, do not click links and contact the Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships directly to verify whether a message is legitimate.
Common Phishing Red Flags

- Fake Email: Scammers send messages that look like official campus or BankMobile emails. They often claim your financial aid is delayed or at risk.
- Fake Form: The link leads to a form asking for personal information or passwords. Porterville College will NEVER ask for this.
- Stop & Report: Do not click links or enter information. Take a screenshot and send it to: report-spam@kccd.edu

- urgent language
